PEGASUS EXPERT WORKSHOP #8 held

PEGASUS EXPERT WORKSHOP #8 held

On 10 February 2022 another edition of the PEGASUS expert workshop series was conducted merging 100 participants from 13 different countries. This PEW#8 was dedicated to common understandings on a formalized safety case architecture.

Selected experts from US, Europe and Asia were discussing the role of scenario based testing in the overall safety argumentation, potential ways to measure safety, the need for references and many more relevant research topics in the area of validation of automated driving. Beside the panel experts a group of observers was also contributing to the discussion by chat. Sharing different views by different regions and backgrounds leaded to hypotheses of future research needs encouraging participants for re-use in their research & development departments.

The Pegasus Expert Workshop is held regularly to share the results of the VVM and SetLevel projects, both follow-on projects of Pegasus, in an international context. With the help of these workshops, the international exchange on verification and validation methods for autonomous driving systems is to be promoted and a standardization is to be realized.
